Serving Pets for Three Decades
All West Veterinary Clinic is a full-service animal hospital with five veterinarians and a team of registered animal health technologists who are dedicated to ensuring the health of all pets who come through our doors. Led by Saskatoon veterinarian Dr. Henry Kucharski, who has almost 30 years of experience helping dogs and cats stay healthy, our team strives to be the go-to vet clinic for all pets in the area, including exotic pets. We provide all of the wellness and preventative care services pets need to avoid getting sick (such as pet vaccinations and spay and neuter surgeries). And our technologically-advanced surgery suite, laboratory and diagnostics tools are ready to help if your pet gets sick or injured.
Our Saskatoon Animal Hospital Pet Health Services
Disease prevention is a cornerstone of optimum pet health, and our Saskatoon animal hospital focuses on making sure all of our patients receive the preventative services they need to thrive. We make sure your pet stays up-to-date on his or her pet vaccinations and flea, tick and heartworm preventatives to help them avoid many preventable diseases. We also perform annual nose-to-tail wellness exams (bi-annually for senior pets). These exams include tests at our in-house laboratory to catch any problems early, when they are much easier to treat. We also provide pet dental care. We recommend pets receive a professional dental exam and cleaning from our veterinarian regularly, and we coach pet owners about how to establish a daily dental hygiene routine at home.
Our animal hospital also stresses comfort and education. Sometimes cats and dogs make each other uncomfortable; to prevent that, we have separate dog and cat entrances and waiting areas so your pet thinks he or she has his or her own special dog clinic or cat clinic, designed just for them. In addition to our separate dog clinic and cat clinic feel, we have vets with extensive experience treating exotic pets like rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, and birds. Additionally, our vets spend considerable time and energy educating our patients’ human family members about important pet care issues.
Unfortunately, pets sometimes get sick or injured. When that happens, our entire veterinary staff is ready to help. Our hospital is equipped with a state-of-the art surgical suite with digital radiography and computerized diagnostics tools, and an in-house laboratory and pharmacy that enable us to diagnose and treat a pet’s health condition and needs quickly. We provide endoscopic surgery, which is a minimally-invasive procedure that involves far less cutting and bleeding, fewer complications and a shorter recovery time than traditional surgical procedures. We use endoscopy for everything from spay and neuter surgeries to more complex orthopedic surgeries. We also ensure that pets receive the pain management care they need to stay comfortable during their surgery and recovery.
